TESTIMONIALS Locating a catering company in San Francisco that uses natural and organic ingredients is not difficult. Finding one that would provide breakfast and environmentally responsible box lunches for a non-profit social justice fundraising conference with 700 attendees and a very small budget was EXTREMELY challenging. Not only did they work with our financial constraints, they bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs --from Vegan/Vegetarian options to biodegradable cups & utensils and free trade coffee. I worked with the Tiffany Bloom subdivision of Skyler St. John, which is typically used for smaller events and a less elegant menu. It was easy to compose a fitting and tasty menu with the many choices of dishes and appetizers found on the website. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was simple yet sophisticated. Working with Michelle was truly a joy. Her level of professionalism, attention to detail and years of experienced showed with each conversation I had with her. Her guidance and suggestions certainly made it less stressful for me. Anything I asked her to do or add to the menu was done without question. Her follow up phone call the next morning only confirms her dedication to her customers. On the day of the event, the food arrived right on time and was set up beautifully by two very nice and charming staffers. My only complaint is that I didn't get to meet Michelle in person to thank her for all that she did. Very highly recommended. In fact, those "boring" engineers stayed late into the evening, so the darkened yard setting was pretty with all the Tiki torches burning and a fire in the firepit. You could hardly see the tourquoise table clothes! :-) The food was wonderful and many people commented on it. We set up everything exactly as you told us, Mom. The long rice was on the single-burner dish, the cold dishes were arranged from high to low, the shrimp was crisped in the oven. The hot things were hot and the cold things were cold. Just as you predicted, people loved the chicken long rice, the cole slaw and the chicken. The shrimp was gone immediately and the pineapple upside down cake was divine (very moist and flavorful). The wasabi dipping sauce and the flavored butter were also mentioned a lot. Those are nice touches. We had plenty of leftovers, but not enough to overwhelm us. The setup looked great and the serving line moved through very well. I have to say, though, that the hit of the party was the pig itself, and it was quite an event when all the men dug it out. It was cheaper entertainment than hiring hula dancers! Luckily, it was perfectly cooked. We set it on that outside table and many photos were taken, then people just grabbed a few chunks of meat as finger food while waiting in line for the rest of the dinner. So it was basically a very big appetizer. Thank you so much for all your efforts and for the on-time, efficient and attractive setup. You were great to work with and the food was a hit. I wanted to have a Hawaiian Luau for my graduation party at our house in Healdsberg. I always wanted to have a Luau since we went to Hawaii, but I did not think we could pull it off in my parents backyard. A friend reccommended this company because they did a Corporate Luau at his office and it was a huge success. Skyler's team brought in the whole pig, plus all this fabulous food. It was better than the Luau at the Hotel in Maui. The buffet tables were designed with real hawaiian platters, tropical flowers and the plates were all hand painted. The men on staff wore aloha shirts and the girls wore really cute polynesian dresses. It was so much fun, they even brought in Hawaiian Dancers. My classmates and friends from Sonoma State had a great time, it might have had something to do with the flowing Mai-Tai's. I think that's about it. They were great. I am glad I did this.
